What is Esoteric Healing?

Esoteric means “hidden, meant to be found.” This is true of the energy field around and through each of us.  Esoteric Healing is a form of energy work used to treat the body's energy field.  This field cannot be seen by most of us but can be easily felt once you become aware of its existence.

Within the energy field are focal points of energy which are known as energy centers or ‘chakras’.  Each of these centers energizes specific organs and body systems.

Illness, which is an indication that we are out of balance, first appears as a block in our energy field. If left unattended over time, it shows up in our physical body. So if we keep our energy fully vitalized and clear of blocks, we will be healthier.

The existence of the energy field and its use in healing has been known for thousands of years, especially in Egypt, India, and China. It is only recently, however, that western science has realized its significance.  

What does a healing practitioner do?

Healing practitioners learn to use their hands and inner perception to examine the energy field and find any blocks or energy imbalances.  The energy field can be assessed and treated at the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual levels.  The practitioner does not touch the individual, but works with hands off of the body, using various balancing techniques to remove energy blocks to improve the flow of energy to create a more healthy state.  If we keep our energy fully vitalized and clear of blocks, then we stay healthier.  An Esoteric Healing practitioner does not claim to heal, but rather to assist in the re-balancing of an individual’s energy field. This aids in the healing process by allowing the person’s own life energy to flow freely.  Esoteric Healing is only done with verbal permission of the person receiving treatment as well as the permission of their Soul. It can be thought of as focused prayer. The energy worker facilitates the flow and focus of Universal energy (higher power or God) in order to remove blocks.  He or she will use her hands at a distance of about 12 inches or more from the client’s body to sense the chakras, scan the energy field and allow balance where necessary.
